Frostfall: Pip's Polar Quest is a single-player game for iPhone. It works entirely offline and collects no data.

How do I play? Tap anywhere on the screen to jump, and tap again in mid-air once you have bought the double jump. Hold the SLIDE button, bottom-left, to duck under bars and stomp enemies. Tap SHOOT, bottom-right, to sling a snowball — that one only does anything after you have bought the Snow Gun in a shop. The ❓ button on the title screen opens HOW TO PLAY at any time.

How do I change the language? Settings (the gear on the title screen) → the globe button. Fifty languages are available. On a first install the game follows your iPhone's system language; after that it remembers your choice.

How do I change the difficulty? Settings → Difficulty cycles Easy / Normal / Hard. It changes the scroll speed, your starting lives, the time limit, and how generous the stages are with stars and hearts.

The game got harder after I finished it. That is deliberate. Clearing the final stage bumps the difficulty one step for the next run (Easy → Normal → Hard, and it stays at Hard). You can always set it back yourself in Settings → Difficulty.

I lost my progress / my best score reset. Scores and settings are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them, and there is no account or cloud backup to restore from.

Are there in-app purchases? No. The shops inside the game spend "clams", an imaginary currency you earn by playing. No real money is involved anywhere in the app, and there are no ads.

Can I listen to the music on its own? Yes — Settings → the music note button opens the Music Hall, which plays every cue in the game.

Is my data collected? No. See the privacy policy. The app has no networking code at all.

Known limitations

• iPhone only. It runs on iPad in iPhone compatibility mode, but it is not designed for iPad.

• Landscape orientation only.

• Requires iOS 15 or later.
